New Jr Black Belts!!!

I would like to make a HUGE shout out to Jade, Dan, Alex and Justis who just recently tested and passed their Jr Black Belt exam!

Jade is the first student ever to earn his 2nd Degree Junior Black Belt and he performed well beyond expectations.

Dan and Alex barely seemed tired after their testing!

The one I will have to say makes me the proudest though is Justis! I know this is selfish but as my little girl follows in her dad's footsteps, it makes my heart…

What i learned in class tonight.

I learned bear hugs. We practiced three the one with legs apart, the one with legs together, and using your arms. We also practiced break falls it was fun. I really like doing karate it teaches you how to defend yourself in the real world.                                                       See More

We have been learning a lot in classes & especially in the swat team. I am sorry that I have been slacking on my posts in here. I havn't been sleeping well & experiencing issues due to the lack of sleep. I do greatly enjoy being swat & learning as we go. I believe it is & will continue to be a great learning experience for everyone. We are learning what to teach & what teaching methods have proved to be succesful. As we grow we may stumble upon training methods that may work…See More

"It's amazing getting to watch them learn. After all, they are our next generation of martial artists. That class is my favorite to help with not only because they love to learn, they love their instructors too."

Welcome to Penacook School of Martial Arts

About Penacook School of Martial Arts

Kancho Matt Brown opened Penacook School of Martial Arts in June 2000 as a way to give back to the community in which he grew up, Penacook NH. Since that time PSMA has offered the highest quality instruction in Traditional Martial Arts, teaching far beyond simple punches, kicks or fancy martial arts techniques. Everyone begins their martial arts journey for a variety of reasons. Whether you are looking to get fit, lose weight, improve balance and coordination, increase self-discipline and gain more confidence or looking to teach your young ones the many character buidling skills of the martial arts, we have a program for you! We are dedicated to helping you reach your goals and beyond.

PSMA is unique in its approach to teaching the martial arts of Ryukyu Kempo, Small Circle Jujitsu and Modern Arnis. Our staff, led by world renowned 8th degree Black Belt and instructor, Matt Brown, will teach real life applications of the movements while also educating our students on things like Diabetes Defense, Nutritional Education, Conflict Resolution, Anger Management, Enviromental Self Defense and Service to Humanity.

We are a proud affiliate of Dillman Karate International, the worlds leading authority in Pressure Point Self Defense.

We hope you will join us for a class. Train Hard, Inspire Others and Live Life to the Fullest!
